Full Moon Fever - Day 13

Werewolve Boyfriend from Ken Ng on Vimeo.

It's a Full Moon tonight and it's also the 13th of August, does that seem scary to anybody else?

Although I'm totally on Team Edward, I think we all know that Jacob gets all the best lines in the whole Twilight saga. He does tend to run a little on the hot side...

Todays dress is by Ezekiel. It is a lovely knit dress with a ruffled hem, so much fun to wear.

Almost halfway done the month and I haven't even worn my favorites yet! However if you have a striped dress you'd like to lend me I'd be happy to wear it over the next 2-weeks!

Thanks for looking,

Day 12 - The Best Kind of Bot - is a Swap-bot!

One of my favorite things to do is send and receive mail. Thanks to Kelly I discovered a great way to keep the mail flowing into my mailbox. Swap-bot is a website devoted to sending letters, music, collectables, candy and just about anything you can think of, all around the world.

I'm just about to send out packages for a swap called Punk, Punk, up yer Punk! I've made a mixed CD of some great early punk bands, the Descendants, the Ramones, bands I love... I've also included some skull stickers and pins and screen printed patches. One package is going to BC and the other is going all the way to England.

I can't wait to see what I get back!

Today I'm wearing a Orange and Navy Striped top from Forever 21. Cheap and Cheerful!
Thanks for checking in - see you tomorrow!

Sk8r Girl!

When I first moved back to Picton I helped on the planning and fundraising committee to build a Skatepark here in town. It took years! Now I realize how important this park is though - I was at the park this morning before 9am and there were kids skating - and here its 10pm and there are still kids skating.

I remember skateboarding - being fearless and spending whole days on the hot pavement. Now my over-developed sense of pain and common sense keeps me from dropping in. I love watching the kids though - they are so fast and good - its awesome, dude.

There's a facebook page County Youth Park. And Tuesday nights are girls night at the park. Its free and its amazing to know I helped it happen.

Today's dress is by Staring at Stars. Tonights Pictures by my Shining Star Jaime <3.

Whats Black and White and Red All Over?...

My favorite answer to this riddle is - "a Sunburned Zebra"

Zebras are really great because they are striped, making them the perfect animal to be part of Nellaland. Today I'd just like to point out that of all the dresses in my wardrobe Black & White seem to be the most popular colours.

There's something classic about a Black & White striped outfit. Stripes have been worn by everyone from Brando in the Wild One to Warhol in the Factory.

I posed for todays photo in the White Room at Kelly's Shop. She's such a brave girl she painted her whole store white this Spring, the place looks terrific - and much bigger than it did before.

Today's dress is from Hurley.

See you tomorrow!

Rain Rain Go Away!

Well it's Day 9 and what a rainy day!
I bought this dress yesterday in Toronto off the sale rack in urban outfitters and I'm sure glad I did. We stayed in Toronto overnight and I didn't have a change of clothes.

So I guess the "Sun can't Shine everyday" but WAIT! - I'm supposed to be the mayor of Nellaland! and I'd like to decree that there are no more rainy days this summer - That's a direct order clouds!

Well can't wait to see what tomorrow brings...
Thanks for stopping by,

Day 8 stripes in the city!

I spent the day in Toronto with my friends Susanne and Kelly. Went to Ikea, an awesome hotdog joint called Wvrst and then did some hardcore shopping. Good thing I bought a striped dress, cuz we ended up staying over!

Today's dress is by cooperative. I Love adding a little colour to the mix!
See you tomorrow.

Day 7 - Stripes and Art

Today I went to see a show at the Belleville Art Association Gallery. This Gallery is run by a group of volunteers on the Main St. in Belleville, Ontario. For the first time ever the group hosted a Square Foot exhibition called 1x1. A square foot show is a collection of artwork by various artists in various mediums but all the pieces are the same size (a square foot). To make the show even more user friendly all the works are priced the same.

My mom, who is also and artist, Marion Casson let us into the gallery today even though its usually closed on Sunday. What an interesting show - so many pieces sold and the ones that were left were an incredible assortment of styles and subjects.

The painting I did is pictured above, it sold in the show (yay me!). Funny how I painted it a while back but the Stripes theme seems to be ever present!

My dress today is by Stella McCartney for Adidas, it has great details on the back that you can't really see in these pictures. Todays photos were takes by Jamie Smith who is the best boyfriend ever. xoxox
